Dark 'n' Stormy

This is a classic highball drink that is very popular in Bermuda and Australia.  After a recent trip to Hawaii we added our own touch...the tiniest bit of Macadamia Nut Liquor floating on top.

My ultimate goal is to make my own Ginger Beer, but until I have the time Cock 'n' Bull is a great alternative and available at Jensen's Market in Blue Jay, near Lake Arrowhead.

INGREDIENTS 

1/2 lime squeezed

2 ounces of Dark Rum

4 ounces of Ginger Beer

Splash of Macadamia Nut Liquor

Lime for garnish

DIRECTIONS

Pour lime juice and Rum over ice.  Squeeze lime into glass.  Give it a quick stir and a splash of Macadamia Nut Liquor.

Garnish with a slice of lime.

This is a great summertime drink!!!

Hemp Berry Smoothy (Raw and Vegetarian)

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup of Frozen Mixed Berries

1/2 Banana

1Tablespoons of Hemp Heart

1/2 Lowfat Strawberry Kefir

1/2 cup Silk Pure Coconut Milk ~ unsweetened

DIRECTIONS

Throw al ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth

Makes One serving

Watermelon, Mint & Lime Spritzer

Ingredients

1 small "Personal size" Watermelon

1 can of Club Soda

12 Mint Leaves

1 lime

Instructions

Cut Watermelon in half and then into pieces that will fit into your juicer

Remove the hard outer shell

Feed watermelon through juicer along with 10 mint leaves

Pour into two tall glasses

Pour an ounce of soda water and squeeze 1/4 of a piece of lime juice into the glass.

Lightly stir

Garnish with a slice of lime and a couple of mint leaves
